Seeding Notes

  • Best timing: Late-fall dormant seeding (Oct–Dec) OR early spring (March–April)
  • Drill depth: ⅛"–¼" (forbs) | ¼"–½" (grasses)
    • A no-till native drill recommended
    • Can be broadcasted
  • Weed prep: Spray annual grasses prior to planting
    • Mow year 1 to 8–10" to reduce cheatgrass seed set
  • Growth expectation: Forbs show in years 1–2,
    • Full stand maturity by year 3

This mix simplifies by replacing the following legacy products:

  • ID PF Diverse Native Range Grass Forb Mix C (pollinator-heavy SKU)
  • ID PF Range Native Grass w/forbs Mix D (in eastern-Idaho contexts)
