MI - Mixed With Rice Hulls- Fluffy Bulk Filler (5lbs per acre)
Rice hulls are commonly used as a fluffy bulking filler in native grass and wildflower mixtures to improve the seed flow through no-till drill seeding equipment and for improved distribution. We recommend a total seeding weight of at around 10# to the acre (if your seed mix weighs 5# to the acre - add 5# per acre of rice hulls). Rice hulls will be mixed with your seed when placed in the same order. Updated 1/12/2026
Example: If your seed mix is close to 5 LBS per acre PLS seeding rate, order 5 LBS per acre of Rice Hulls for a 10 LBS total seeding rate. If you have 5 acres to seed then you would need to order 5ac of the 5#/acre mix to Total 25lbs of Rice Hulls.
