Installer Notes

  • Timing: Best seeded late fall (frost seeding) or spring (soil 50°F+)
  • Preparation: Control cool-season sod first — mow/till/spray to create open soil & bare ground gaps
  • Seeding Method: Drill at ⅛–¼” depth, or broadcast + cultipack for firm seed-to-soil contact
  • Maintenance: Mow at 6–8" during establishment year only if weeds exceed 12–14";
    • Maintain openness by periodic disturbance every 2–3 years (mow, strip disk, or burn—where legal)
