MT SM01 Eastern Native Pollinator & Wildlife Mix

Showy milkweed, Rocky Mountain beeplant, blanketflower, purple prairie clover, silvery lupine, scarlet globemallow, stiff goldenrod, and both pale purple and long-headed coneflowers keep blooms rolling from late spring through fall. A supporting cast of native grasses—slender wheatgrass, green needlegrass, Sandberg bluegrass—and shrub species like winterfat and rubber rabbitbrush add long-term structure, winter cover, and seed.

Best for: Eastern Montana rangeland restorations, pollinator plantings, wildlife habitat projects, and around food plots.

Seeding rate: ~5–6 PLS lbs/acre, targeting ~30–40 seeds/ft².

Ratio: Roughly 70–80% forbs/shrubs to 20–30% native grasses for strong bloom and good habitat structure.

NRCS fit: Works well for conservation cover and wildlife practices (327, 645) where regionally native species are desired.

Drilled or broadcast on a clean, weed-reduced site, this mix establishes a colorful, drought-tough prairie that supports bees, butterflies, deer, antelope, and upland birds for years to come.
