DE SM01 Wet Site High Diversity Mix

This mix is built around regionally appropriate, Eastern U.S.–native species that tolerate fluctuating water levels—thriving in saturated soils while withstanding periodic dry-downs. A balanced combination of sedges, native grasses, and long-blooming forbs ensures continuous structure, nectar, and seed production from spring through fall.

Key features include:

  • Strong pollinator support, with milkweeds, vervain, ironweed, sneezeweed, and Joe-Pye-weed
  • Excellent brood and nesting cover for pheasant, quail, songbirds, and water-edge wildlife
  • Wet-site stability, using fox sedge, Virginia wildrye, and other moisture-tolerant natives
  • Season-long bloom window, supporting early, mid, and late-season pollinators
  • Optimized for lower seeding densities, helping maintain open structure and species diversity

This mix is ideal for:

  • Wet meadows and restored wetlands
  • Floodplain edges and drainage swales
  • Conservation buffers and habitat restorations
  • NRCS-supported wetland and wildlife projects

Seeding rate: ~25 seeds/ft²
PLS rate: ~3.5 lbs/acre
